( The project )
Almanac Press asked for a book that felt like a calendar you could read. Every week opens on a single giant numeral, set in the narrowest cut, and the writing runs in two plain columns beside it.
One face, three widths
The whole book uses one variable family. Week numbers sit at the narrow end, headings at the wide end, body text in the middle. It keeps 320 pages calm without a second typeface.
Printed in two colours on uncoated stock, with a cobalt cover that changes shade in daylight.
